Benefits of Membership
Launched in 2016, the Title IV-A Coalition is made up of dozens of national organizations that support full funding and the successful implementation of the Student Support and Academic Enrichment grants, known as Title IV-A of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). All members believe that this program is absolutely critical to supporting comprehensive student needs, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment, ensuring the effective use of technology, and increasing access to a well-rounded education necessary for students to thrive in a modern society and workforce.
Our Coalition’s Successes
Annual appropriations have grown from $400 million in 2017 to $1.38 billion in 2024.
Continued bipartisan support for the program in both chambers, including bipartisan Dear Colleague Letters.
Collection and publication of district level data on how funds are being spent across Title IV-A’s allowable uses, results of which are widely used by advocates and congressional staff.
